Getting Stuck

As we've talked about in some recent posts, Brennan moves around quite a bit in his crib. It's not unusual for him to migrate from the center of the crib to one end of it, and then make a u-turn and end up at the other end. At first, he got stuck pretty often in the side slabs and needed help getting out, but he's gotten better at freeing himself. Sometimes, though, he'll just fall asleep with one arm or leg completely out, like this:

Even when his arm is outside the crib, he'll find a way to get those fingers back into his mouth:

Somehow, my children all managed to do this and then roll/twist. When I'd find the kid, an arm or leg would be swollen and purple and I'd about have to break it to get it out of the crib. It made for some scary times. These last two babies, I've just used the 16-year-old pack n play because I'm figuring my goodness it has to be safer than that. I had a newer pack n play but the netting is more easily torn on the new ones.

Fortunately, and I say this still squirming after 3 years...our little one would let out a curdling scream if she was stuck...even if it wasnt hurting...because she wasnt in control...LOL!

Kudos!

And, have to say, your family is absolutely beautiful!

Thanks for sharing!

Aw.... poor thing. Kensi crawls to the corner and then scares herself because seh can't figure how to get out of it (though, she'll crawl backwards everywhere except the crib).

It was good seeing you three this past weekend!
